By downloading, installing, or using the Bookora mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Bookora is an appointment booking platform that connects clients with service-based businesses. The App enables:
- Clients to discover, book, and manage appointments with businesses
- Businesses to manage their bookings, services, staff, and customer relationships
- Payment processing for services through integrated payment providers
- Communication between clients and businesses regarding appointments
3. User Accounts
Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
Account Types
Bookora offers different account types:
- Client accounts: For individuals booking services
- Business accounts: For service providers managing their business
- Staff accounts: For employees of registered businesses
4. Business Accounts
If you register a business account, you additionally agree to:
- Provide accurate business information, including services offered and pricing
- Honour bookings confirmed through the platform
- Maintain reasonable service quality standards
- Respond to client inquiries and booking requests in a timely manner
- Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations for your business type
5. Bookings and Appointments
For Clients
- Bookings are subject to availability and business confirmation
- You agree to arrive on time for your appointments
- Cancellation policies are set by individual businesses and displayed at the time of booking
- No-show fees may apply as determined by the business's policies
For Businesses
- You are responsible for managing your availability and schedule accurately
- Confirmed appointments should be honoured unless exceptional circumstances arise
- You must notify clients promptly of any changes or cancellations
6. Payments
Payments are processed through Paystack, our integrated payment provider. By making a payment, you agree to:
- Paystack's terms of service and privacy policy
- Provide valid payment information
- Pay all fees and charges associated with your bookings
Refunds are subject to the individual business's refund policy and applicable laws. Bookora facilitates but does not guarantee refund processing.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users or businesses
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content or reviews
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Use automated tools to scrape data or interfere with the App's operation
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
8. Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave reviews and ratings for businesses. You agree that:
- Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on genuine experiences
- We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our guidelines
- Businesses may not incentivize or coerce clients into leaving positive reviews
9. Intellectual Property
The Bookora App, including its design, features, content, and branding, is owned by Bookora and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without permission
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written consent
- Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the App
10. Limitation of Liability
Bookora acts as a platform connecting clients with businesses. We are not responsible for:
- The quality of services provided by businesses listed on the platform
- Disputes between clients and businesses
- Loss or damage resulting from services booked through the App
- Business closures, cancellations, or schedule changes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookora's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid through the App in the preceding 12 months.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
12. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour
- Provide false or misleading information
- Fail to pay outstanding fees
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.
